A "SUMMAT ELSE FOR PRESIDENT" SUMMIT

What with all these presidential summits coming up, I couldn't resist the temptation to make some constructive suggestions for the talks, and then maybe add a few more summits.

We have now, the "Jobs Summit", and the new "Bread and Water Spending Budget" (the president gets the French bread and we get the sap water), and I'm sure there will be a "Save the Earth Summit".  That's the one about how to keep the 71 motor car escort secret while distributing the carbon allowances to the plebes. (Latin for poor slobs.)

They probably should have the "Job Summit" in Detroit. That way they can hire a lot of jobless people to wait tables at the banquets, and park the limousines for Summiters. They can discuss how the Vice President can find good locations for new auto plants. That guy who goes to white house just about every day and runs the unions, he can talk about how card check can do some more unionizing which he says the American people need because the worker musn't add to the total cost of the cars with all that health care cost.

Come to think of it though, one of the SEIU's major unions is the waiters  union. That might not help give temporary jobs to the unemployed in Detroit. Perhaps What's-'is-Face could enroll them in the union. Bingo.

I guess they might as well have the "Earth Saving Summit" in Beijing. The Chinese are very prudent and saving people so they'll probably keep those 71 cars lined up alongside the road from the airport. They won't have to buy new ones and if the cars aren't moved, they'll save that gas until the President comes back. But if it's winter, I suppose the Summiters will all get covered in coal dust, which I hope would be an object lesson, especially when they all run down to the Yangtze and get rinsed off. That has a pretty good spray, I understand.

Then too, the President could save himself another trip. While he's there, the Chinese can loan him some money and he can go back and pay the NEA and the Hollywood crowd and NBC and Public Broadcasting to make some propaganda on Climate Warming and how it will be the end of America as we know it, if the health care bill doesn't pass. While he is at it, maybe Obama could stay an extra day or two and get some propaganda lessons from the old Mao Masters. But then, maybe he doesn't really need them. He did have some training as a neighborhood liner-upper back there in Chicago.

The "Bread and Water Spending Summit" could be held in Beijing too, but that isn't much fun. When a man works as hard as the president, he needs to go off and see new sights. Preferably a non-English speaking country so they can be impressed by all those mellifluous sounds from the president's mouth. And then too, the press might get bored, same old-same old. It's too bad though because that's where all our money is. Someone could take a peek while they're there.

Perhaps Saudi Arabia. They have a good bit of our money too. And oil. And, there is the trade imbalance. Three birds with one stone? If it is Saudi Arabia, it would probably be a good idea to keep the talks secret until the President gets back. After all, it is hardly likely that the Saudis would encourage oil exploration by us in our own country to save us money. Perhaps they could work out some arrangement by which we promise not to drill in return for cash for the Fed. Quid pro £ or quid pro dollar. Help our deficit?

Those three summits could probably take until April at least. But that is getting pretty close to the congressional elections. There will really have to be something spectacular to blind-sight everyone, (I can invent a word, if I want to) to distract them from the fall-out of the health care bill and the crapthetrade bill.

A stimulus bill isn't a summit, and it might be pretty risky depending upon whether those darn subversives are still making noise about sticking their kids with the leavings of all the other summits. There is always a "Racial Summit". That one could be held at Harvard. That's probably the best idea. Everyone would get so worked up, they'd forget about elections.

The one summit I'd really like to see is the "Summat Else for President".

IF A FOREST FALLS, WILL ANYONE HEAR?

If a tree falls and no one hears -

I'd say no one cares.

But if a forest falls and no one hears, what then?

Congress makes it a matter of semantics. No forest has fallen because the forest becomes tea bags and the sound is that of angry out of control racists, who are endangering the life and limb of congressional members who dare to show up in front of such a rabid crowd. According to the president himself, the teabaggers are ignoramuses who don't know when to shut up.

As only one of the trees, the tea-baggers, I haven't blogged in a while feeling I had said it all. I'd talked about lies, about blatant Obama propaganda, about the danger of losing our freedom to an over weening govenment.  I've written blogs about racism, about the self-avowed communists running the white house and ruling the country without congressional intervention or notice, about health care, the disaster of our leftist controlled universities and the stimulus money.

The government has no ears, no eyes, no mind. It does have a lying tongue, but that is another blog theme.

I, along with others, wrote congress constantly and part of the congress almost listened. Well, perhaps that part listened but did not understand. The so-called Republican congress believes the key to its salvation is diversity. They look for compromise when the people shout "No."  The shout says, "No more money." All other problems can wait until we get spending under control. If we are destitute as a nation, we cannot fulfill any promise, no matter how stupid and self-destructive. We couldn't even fulfill a good promise, although I haven't seem many of those in the last few years.

As a writer, if there were times I didn't know where to go with a story, I'd go do something else, if only take a nap. Somehow in the back of the writer mind, the genes, the tiny impulses that become our thoughts, our direction and so, our very being, begin to knit a tale, a direction. It is a never-ending source of delight to me when a character appears and takes over a story.

And so, sometimes, in life the tired mind retreats to discover a new direction and lets the self rejuvenate, finds the strength to finish an action, or start a new one.

The forest where cap and trade lived, the one where health cared lived, have fallen for the moment. While congress didn't hear because their chain saws were busy destroying the woods, the rest of us, outside of the forest heard.

We will not forget the devastation upon the country, upon the constitution, upon us - the people. We are the forest and we will crowd out those who would cut us down and ignore our voice.

THE U.S. OR THE U.N. - WE CANNOT HAVE BOTH

We the People. In order to form a more perfect Union.

It has been 233 years since those words were written. We have almost done what we promised then. Perfect? No. We are human, but for 233 years we have tried to make a country that has been the envy of the world. For 233 years people of all races, creeds, colors and nationalities have fled to these shores to be part of this great experiment, an experiment that the founding fathers were not even sure would work.

But it did. For a while.

Will it continue?

Not if the United Nations has any say in the matter. Not if Obama has any say in the matter.

Obama has said he may not attend the October meeting of the UN. Perhaps he has not quite completed his plan to hand over the reins of our government to that organization.

Forget the argument on global cooling vs. global warming. The fact is that the climate treaty is nothing more than a scheme for pay-back for alleged misuse of the of the minerals, wealth, and environment; for the colonial excesses of the world - which the United States has probably been the least perpertrator, considering the colonialization of the African continent by Europeans, the colonial rape of South America by the Spanish: the colonization of nearly all the South Pacific and India:  the colonization of Asian territories by the same countries (the US was late in the race for Chinese booty, and the US actually liberated a number of territories from colonialization.) Forget the excuses and blames - the apologies for which Obama has already set up. It is a scheme to destroy the economy of the US. Before global warming there were the other excuses. The third world wants our wealth and Obama wants to give it to them. This treaty is the excuse, the means.

If it were any other than a scheme, why would China and India agree that it was a good idea yet not participate? Either it is good enough to participate in or it is not.

The problem is really that if Obama signs that treaty, even if the Senate will not agree to it, Obama and his communist pals will assert that we are bound by the signature. Bound by the signature to be a slave to a one-world government. Those words are in the treaty - one world government. Those Czar freaks in the white house have enough words on paper that to pin them irrevocably to this scheme.

The one world government will supercede our constitution, just as NAFTA supercedes California laws or any US law that NAFTA deems we owe compliance.

Yes, we already have agreements that supercede our constitution.

The United States, as a matter of self preservation must get out of the United Nations immediately.

It can seldom be said the body had any useful end, other than perhaps in the field of health. Considering the fight over the health care today, perhaps we ought to consider the implications of UN involvement there.

It is now the US OR THE UN.

THE DOG CHASING ITS TAIL

All the talk about the five health care bills and which one will pass, is the dog chasing its tail.

One evening soon, (probably the moment Obama decides to send troops to Afghanistan)  up to five men will go into a room when all the fuss is done and Obama thinks he is ready, and a bill will come out. Senators Baucus, Reid, Chris Dodd, and from the messiah himself,  Rahm Emmanuel, with the president able to come along and have his zillion dollars worth of thought. Baucus, I think is an honest man - at least as far as an ideological politician can be. But for the rest, can you imagine a more untrustworty bunch of people to write a national bill?

If I had a fortune, I would bet every penny of it the bill that comes out of the committee of five will be exactly what Obama wanted all along - in exact detail. All the fuss in congress was to lay the blame and try to tell the people, "Congress did it."

Do you really think Obama cares what anyone but himself and his communist czar buddies think?
They had their plans laid years ago and they will try to get them by hook or crook. All of this is in black and white in their own names and those of their co-hort professors.

While it isn't health care, a good example of hook or crook is the FCC and the diversity czar who promises to take the airwaves out of the hands of white men (their words) and give them to minorities, calling it social justice. I call it stealing, boot-jack tactics and totalitarianism with media control. An anti-liberty no freedom of the press ploy. There are papers written years ago by these commies with their plans and amendments to their plans to update them. The papers are on line.

At least I guess Obmacare will be a change from "Bush did it."

All this other baloney is a waste of time. But please note the date of this, October 15, 2009, when the screams start.

It will have one advantage Obama wanted but couldn't figure out - what taxes he could get away with to pay for it. That was the whole reason for the congressional battle. He didn't care (he said) what provisions were in it. He only wanted a bill. A bill he can write himself and deny he has written it, saying it was demanded by the people.

Congress sure fell for that one.

ABRA CA DABRA - LOOK UNDER THE RUG

Watch my left hand while I bamboozle you with the right. No government option here - oh, it's over there!

It's been longer than usual since I've written a blog here. There were so many distractions, I could not circle in on one thing bugging me the most.

The trouble is, like some spoiled child at Christmas, there are too many "toys" to play with.  The ducks don't stop quacking, the ball bounces and knocks the stars from the mobil which hits the dog on the head which falls off and makes the doll cry.  In self defense, the child hides away and takes a mental nap.

Which, of course, is exactly what Obama and his friends plan. Never waste a crisis. Enough of them can hide a catastrophe.

Obama is lucky in one way. He is "from Chicago." Not literally, but by his choice of friends. The thing about Chicago is that it needs almost nothing to happen for it to be an entertainment event all by itself.

There is Mrs. O'Leary and the cow - why is the cow in Chicago? But then it is the broadshouldered butcher for the last century (or two), isn't it? It is the flappers' roaring twenties with Al Capone to call the tune - and celebrate the holidays. They had a Valentine's day like no one else's. Creepin' up on the second half of the 20th century you have the Mayor Daileys and the old time democratic political machines. Even in the days of oil shortages, the machines never faltered. So we have the specatacle of Burrus, ACORN, Reverend Wright, The Weather Underground with Ayers and Dohrn. The "I can't believe what I'm seeing" antics of governors, ex-governors, instead of being shocking and disgusting they become a macarbre comedy.

Not least of all, we have the Olympics invitation to a global insult. That in itself is good for a week's discussion and therefore distraction.

Of course, as entertaining as all that is, there are more important news events than Chicago.

We have the Czars and friends with backgrounds that make the disqualifications of any previous administration look like accusing Bambi of harrassment.

I don't know what happened to the CIA investigation. Perhaps with the recent reality of real threats, Obama decided to soft pedal those, for the present at least. Thank goodness he at least has the sense over there in Afghanistan to let the more permissive regimes handle the questioning of prisoners instead of bringing them here to the US to give them ice cream.

Which brings us to the war. Probably the only real honest distraction in Obama's mess of an administration.

So. How does one keep his/her head and concentrate on the one thing Obama doesn't want you to see through? What is there to remind you that he is telling you one thing - he doesn't care about the government option, when, in truth, he and his axmen in the house and senate - Pelosi and Reid and Waxman, are planning a coup in the dead of night to slip the government option in at the last minute, when ostensably a compromise bill is being settled? Actually, you can probably plan for those three axmen to write a little bill of their own and slip it through.

It is probable that some who read this will say I'm paranoid. The honorable Dems would do no such thing. But, my friends, my fellow magician watchers - look at the list of distractions above. How honorable are the democrats? Really?

How honorable has Obama been? How many lies has he told?

Or easier to count - you could use the fingers on one hand, if you needed help on how many truths has he told?

I can think of two:  1. He wants a government plan.  2.  He wants to basically change the American system, to redistribute the wealth, to take from the haves to give to the have nots.

I count two truths and a myriad of lies.

So, let us not be distracted.

We do not need a change in health care that destroys a good system to fix a simple problem of a few uninsured. Cost is a distraction, an excuse for a catastrophe. The cost of Obama's plan will be horrendous, both in dollars and lives.

He and his friends are very good at obfuscation. When Pelosi lies then accuses the CIA of lying, the dems decide to prosecute the past administration. When Obama wants to sell us out to the Monetary Fund, he insults the European Prime Ministers. While he double crosses Poland, he finds salvation in Russia. When he wants the Israeli's to do his bidding, he consoles Hamas.

How many lies does it take to make a big enough lie?

How many double dealing acts like the government option and cap and tax does it take to make a big enough act?

What are High Crimes and Misdemeanors?

High crimes does not mean the crime is high but that the person is.

To defend the constitution. How far can one go on the slippery slope of political shenanigans before the actions are deemed "against the constitution?  Is willful lying a misdemeanor even if not under oath?

Is it an implied oath to tell the truth about oneself to the nation when running for office? On an application in the work force - a lie is subject to immediate dismissal.

What is bribery? Must it be implicit or can it be implied? What is the difference between favors and bribery. If a politician gets money from a group who hope to gain financially and politically from the donation, how far does support go before it turns into a gift with strings?

The AARP and the drug manufacturers made an agreement for their support.  Isn't that buying votes?

Before the election, ACORN made a $400,000 campaign contribution. Over the years, the organization has received about 53 million dollars and had not the present scandal shown its face, they were scheduled to receive another 10 BILLION.

Before the campaign Obama met with the group and reminded them how long he had been working with them. He also assured them he would be calling on them for help and letting them have "input on the agenda."

We all know that contributors want a pound of flesh for a pound of money, but when do promises become bribes? Is it necessary for them to pronounce the words aloud or just in their minds when a contributor hands over $400,000 to a candidate?

When the white house talked to the NEA, the official said they (himself and the NEA) would have to work out how to talk, that is bribe without saying bribery. No one said, we, the government, will give you special support if you'll do some propaganda for us. You know what you are able to do. The same day the news of the telephone meeting was announced, I saw a propaganda film for the Obama administration with many Hollywood faces. Who made the film?  Why? Was it a sudden brainstorm, or was it the answer to a prayer?

Years ago, the Catholic Church  produced the Protestant schism with its promise of time off from purgatory for money. Isn't this the same principal?

The unions are probably the biggest single contributor to the Obama presidency. Wasn't the gift of of GM to the union instead of the stockholders bribery? The SEIU is more flagrantly involved in this administration than even ACORN. Every day, the union has a representative visiting with the president. The union heads the New York state Federal Reserve Bank.  In a flat statement, the unions are exempt from some of the health care regulations. Because an agreement is not provably verbal, is it still not an agreement?

What other infractions than bribery are high crimes and misdemeanors? How about muzzling free speech?

It is universally agreed even in the ranks of the news groups that Obama has a biased following in the news.

Jeffrey Immelt owns MSNBC. Jeffrey Immelt is totally involved in this administration. He stands to make millions, probably millions of millions from his relationship with Obama. There is no one in the country who can honestly say that MSNBC is not solidly for Obama and every move he makes. Most of the network news has been solidly pro-Obama except FOX. Some are attempting to inch away, but haven't quite made it.

One could hardly say it is difficult to get the Democratic slant on the politics of the day. Without FOX, the Republicans would really be up a creek.

The "Diversity Officer" (i.e. communist Lloyd) of the FCC  would like the white man out of the radio broadcasting business. He is trying to shut down that source of news because the popular programs are right wing talk shows. The fact that the left had several talk shows they couldn't get anyone to listen to, is not considered. George Soros' station couldn't hold an audience and went under. Under the guise of diversity, Lloyd plans to take the stations from the white men and give the licenses to brown and black men. It really isn't about skin, though. It is about politics. Lloyd wants to destroy right wing talk shows. The brown and black men will, of course, be left wingers. The present talk stations will have to pay an amount equal to their full years operating budget for their yearly license, which will be donated to brown and black men to buy the stations.

The other day, Humana sent out a letter to its senior customers, telling them how the new health bill would affect their policy with Humana. The government put out a gag order, trying to shut Humana up. As Obama said about the protesters to his health care bill, "Sit down and shut up."

The government is collecting names and addresses from the social networks. What for? It says that legally it must. What was that routine about Bush reading foreign e-mails? Child's play.

So, when do political promises and actions become payback, bribery? How far can the government go to subvert the constitution by denying free speech?  When does a speech become propaganda?

When do appointing "czars" who make laws become an evasion of the constitutional statement that congress makes the laws?

Can Obama sign away the sovereignty of the U.S. by giving it to the United Nations?

Isn't signing away the sovereignty of the country treason?

When do constant lies become high crimes?

No taxes for the middle class. Everyone can keep his health insurance plan. No one will be forced into a one payer system.

The little lies. When do they become serious? When there are enough of them to distort the person of the president? Lead the country to believe he is not what and who he says he is?

Isn't that about the highest crime of all?

Why is He Lying? Need a Cherry Tree

Most media pundits in the news often say Obama, when he often speaks, is often being disingenuous. Disingenuous - not candid (honest) or frank. Even those on Fox seem to be polite here and play with the definition of "is". No one bothered to circumvent the word while they flung it at Bush. Perhaps Obama can blame all his lies on Bush too.

How dare I be so bold and say that word that we all, as tiny children, are told not to say. We are encouraged that honesty is the best policy, that it's a sin to tell a lie.

I don't know if children today have heard the tale of the cherry tree.  It seems George got hold of an axe and like all curious children, decided to use it. He chose his father's cherry tree. It isn't part of the story, but perhaps he saw some worms. At any rate, little Georgie cut it down, put the axe away and went in to supper. Evidently the tree was near the house, as George's father saw the cut tree and asked George, who must have looked a little sweaty, did he cut the tree down? George took a deep breath, threw back his shoulders, and said, "I cannot tell a lie. Yes, father. I did cut the tree down."

Then there was the admonitory story of Josef and the wolf. Josef had to take care of the villagers' sheep. They're pretty boring things since they don't move very fast. So, every once in a while, Josef would run into the village, crying "Wolf!"  "Wolf!" With their wool investments on the line, the villagers would go running only to find Josef wasn't being candid. He was being disingenuous. After a couple of fruitless errands, the next time Josef yelled, "Wolf." the villagers stayed back with their beer. Life, being unpredictable, and as they say "what goes around, comes around," this time the wolf had set upon the sheep.

The lesson? Who can trust the one who lies?

Little white lies smooth the paths of social interactions, but it the result is more than social, the lies loose their excuse. No matter how small, they become serious.

When they come from the President of the United States, they are deadly. They are a matter of life and death.

Even the small ones are, because they lay the seed for the big ones.

Do lies come from the President of the United States?

They are too numerous to list. Some could be called evasions, but evasions have a way of nesting and tangling and becoming a direct lie.

They are too numerous to list here, but let us start for some, from the beginning. Reverend Wright. Little by little Obama was backed into a corner, and had to admit his denials weren't exactly true. He never, like George, said he chopped down the tree, that is sat for twenty years listening to hate sermons, but let's say, he had the axe in his hand.

The other day he said ACORN was not important enough that he "followed closely" the present melt-down.
He said he didn't have that much to do with it (the cherry tree). The trouble is, there are several taped speeches by Obama himself telling how long he had he had worked with, fought alongside of them. Then there is the tape with ACORN and SEIU where he says he will confer with them in his plans for the country, together they can change the country. Then, of course, we have his own tale of working with them in organizing, and defending them.

Then there is health care, a veritable gold mine of dodges, evasions and untruths. Any number of times he has said he wants a single payer system, that "you will be able to keep your health care if you like it." We really don't need to detail every evasion. He has also said that he would  get the single payer system incrementally in order not to upset everyone. He has barely mentioned the co-op system (which he encouraged) because he know it will do exactly what the government option would do, drive all other insurance plans out of existence and accomplish his one payer system.

Actually, this blog isn't meant to change anyone's mind about Single Payer or ACORN - it is about lying. It is about being able to trust the President of the United States.

The world is so full of lies, they go unnoticed and unregarded. In a bowlful of rice, the poisoned grains are safe. But they are fatal.

The question is then, why is Obama lying? Consistently. Given the fatal value of the lies, the reason for them must be very, very important.

THOSE WHO CALL RACISM SHOULD BE CAREFUL - THEY MAY GET WHAT THEY WISH FOR

One of my worse memories of this election is the view of Reverend Wright's Church. We all know there is much resentment in the black community and much of it we can sympathize with, if not approve of. To raise a child in a gang ridden neighborhood is a nightmare no one should have to endure. The trouble is that sadly the victim is so involved with the perpetrator, the forces of law are often helpless.

It isn't that those of us who watch don't care or refuse to do anything about it. We simply don't know how to go about it. We can complain about the southern borders and drugs, about Columbian kingpins, but then what? Presidential and congressional ignorance and greed have carved these caves of vice and anger into our American universe. The presidents have  refused to put forth the funds or the men to clean the American side of Mexican, Columbian, etc criminals.

This kind of resentment I understand but I was not prepared for the forest fire in Wright's church. Most of the black race we meet  don't seem to be burning with hate. Still, the consciousness of a problem does haunt us and finds us toptoeing around so as not to step on someone's toes or do something politically incorrect.

Racism, even though there is obviously a lot of it in the black community for the whites, is generally hurled as white hates black
and the use of the word is to stack the deck against anyone who is charged with it. At one of the earlier tea parties, Janeane Garofolo went beserk on the subject. Olberman, her sycophantic host that day, egged her on as she announced the "urban red-neck groups. he was delighted she carried on. "This is about hating a black man in the White House." According to (Dr. she isn't) Garofalo, the  protestors had over developed lymbic brain parts. Her slimy host asked if there was any chance these lymbic brains could harm someone. Of course, the two of them aren't sharp enough to realize such nonsense hurt their shaky credibility.

When people like Olbermann, actresses like Garofalo, Charley Rangle, Carter, gloat over the fact they think they've caught some racism, it shows more about themselves than it does the person they are accusing.

When Obama sprang to the defense of his friend Gates with  no knowledge of the truth of the situation, we saw his own predjuces. His international actions often give credibility to our doubts about him.

It is too bad the accusation cannot be left alone. Calling everyone Racist will eventually make everyone so angry - it may just come true. When you are accused constantly of hating someone, it is hard to look at them normally.

To people like Garofalo and NBC, CBW, ABC MSNBC and I would suggest you get what you look for and it show your real self.

WHO'S ON FIRST? Czars, Alinsky and Chaos

As the old radio show said when everything fell out of the closet each time, "Tain't funny, McGee!"

Obama is trying to shove everything into the closet so the public doesn't know what he's up to.

What else are all those czars for except to keep events happening so fast that in the hail of "bullets" some might slide through?

As Saul Alinsky said, "Overwhelm them." Do it on weekends too so they'll go to their parties and drink their beer and not watch what the left hand does.

For clarity and brevity, I will make a list:

Health Care:
1.     "Je Accuse" - the Dreyfus September Affair - Joe Wilson - gulty of unpardonable rudeness and color bias. You'd never catch the Dems acting like that, would you?
Color bias - always a good topic. Gets folks all stirred up about nothing. It will certainly hide the disingenuousness of the President's statements on health care.) Besides, Carter is always good for a laugh. Almost as good as Biden.
2.   "Grass Roots" demonstrations ordered. Wonder if ACORN will show its face? No matter. He doesn't have his private army yet, but there are always the unions. Like a bunch of kids - "We can do anything you can do." Na, na, na, nana.
Speeches and speeches and more speeches
3.     Pelosi and Reid shenanigans to roll Dem dissenters in Cling Wrap
Justice Department and former Bushites:
4.    Re-investigation of CIA
5.    Investigation to see if Gale Norton, gave preferred contracts to Royal Dutch Shell. She was later  hired by them.
6.    Question:  What about big deals in store for GE, a major Obama backer, the owner of propaganda television station MSNBC and its triplet sycophants? What about payments to the unions? What about now disfavored ACORN, but former  plans for big donations and usage by Obama? Have they given up on Cheney and Rove?
NEA
7.    Pay or play donation for propaganda
8.    What czar has the Garage Sale Brief?
Stringent rules and fines for garage sale participants who sell an item included in a long list of "NO's"
FTC
9.    International Regulations to control Financial Institutions to protect consumers
FCC
10.  Regulations to keep subersives (anti's - whatever) from slowing down the internet by controlling whether certain people or things can use it, and how?
11.   The internet rule is a try-out to see if they can get away with stopping Conservative Talk Radio by
charging it 100% of its operating expenses EVERY  year to get a license. If they can't pay, minorities get the stations.
 White House
12.    Just following the law that says it must get lists from social links like Twitter, Face Book, etc. and file them for posterity, content included. It is the law, they say. Hmm. Wonder if a law can be changed?
National Security
13.     Extend the "treasonable" act of Bush's - The Patriot act. (Roving wire taps, seizure of any and all record, monitor lone wolf terrorists.)  Like this?
PUSH FOR WORLD REGULATIONS
14.    At the 20 nation talk: “Our government needs reform the rules for financial firms and markets to enable a new agency for oversight for Consumers to oversee consumer products, including mortgages and credit cards. Clear rules, clearly enforced."  By the international Courts!!!
ANNOUNCE CHANGE IN PLANS FOR MISSILE DEFENSE
        Always good for a distraction.
Annoy Israel. Always good for a fight and distraction.

It all sounds like a lot of talk, doesn't it? But when you have 34, 35, 47 czars (a rose by any other name - that seems to be my favorite quote since Obama came to pass)?  No one seems to know exactly how many - but having even ten would keep the U.N. boiling. I suspect they have weekend cocktail parties where they gather to see how many items they can put in the hopper for the coming week. (sort of a "I'm not as thunk ad you drink I am" get together.)

It is pretty sly. Alinsky was right. Overwhelm, confuse the complainers. No one can keep track of everything and if the czars do their job properly, they have only one or two tasks to keep their eye on. Perhaps Obama hired them for that, instead of their philosophy.

ONE SAVING GRACE PERHAPS

A used car salesman and a congressman. The people you trust least. One would think that list was just about closed. Who would you trust less than a congressman?

A president.

That is a damning judgement, isn't it?

For years, I've wondered if our government could get any worse. It is hardly news to hear your representative is a hop and skip away from the jug. Not the little brown one either, although for many, that is a clear and present danger too.

It is those who ought to be in the striped brigade, but luckily for them their party has the majority which promptly sets up an investigatory commission to see who it was that leaked the truth. Then, as a second strategy, there is the committee that only comes out to create confusion and memory loss.

I wasn't old enough to vote the first time I heard about a New York representatvie who repeatedly was found doing the old ice box trick. Every time, the press howled but every time the man was re-elected. The press in those days delighted in catching the government fat cats who were leaving lumps in the sandbox. EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! Today, the press just covers the stuff up.

Growing up with inspirational films like Andy Hardy and "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington," I believed in a reasonably good government. Things like Tammany Hall and Chicago back rooms thick with cheap cigars, were almost legends.  Prohibition (before my time) and Al Capone were movies. Real senators and congressmen wanted to reform things and pass bills like the G.I. Bill for returning soldiers.

I look back and think how terribly ignorant and disinterested I was in congress, although I did watch and vote in the presidential races. Sterling men, all of them. Even Wendell Wilkie about whom I complained he talked too much. And Goldwater who would get us nuked and the intellectual Adlai Stevenson, an early liberal whose oaratory could possibly have given Obama a run for his money.

Then, because the problems were international, the cold war and the possible end of the world, the shenanigans of a few congressmen went largely unnoticed. There was always the juicy tidbit, but for the most part, important things like nuke shelters and the airlift to feel the trapped, freezing  Berliners, outweighed wanton Washingtonians.

People know where they were when Kennedy was killed, what they felt when Nixon resigned, and how annoyed and tired they were of the long endless hysteria over white water and porn in the White House. The Civil Rights movement and the Vietnam War marked the end of my more or less Ozzie and Harriet existence, politically and in reality.

It was another world. We now had one stitched together with flimsy thread and made of dirty linens.

The underwear was hung on the line for a few hours and then tucked back in a drawer. By the time the next election rolled around, either there were so many pairs on the line or the drawers were empty of respectable choice.

Perhaps the washer woman just got tired and let the corporations buy congress hot air laundry driers. At any rate, they all kept getting re-elected in spite of everything.

That sort of thing goes to a man's head.  It just gets bigger and bigger and so stuffed with fat he feels invulnerable.

My only plan was always to vote for a congressional candidate of the president's opposition party. At least congress would get  a lot of vetoes and not be able to accomplish much, thereby doing as little damage as possible.

My last line of defense fell with a liberal Dem for president and a liberal congress and senate. It is a sure recipe for trouble and a very weak soap for dirty laundry.

The only thing I can hope is that the disaster will continue to awaken the country to our apathy, to the lack of patriotism, and the lack of understanding and importance of our constitution. There is nothing I like about this administration. There is, however an old saw that fits it perfectly - EVEN THE WORST OF US CAN SERVE AS  HORRIBLE EXAMPLES.

It it awakens us to the disaster of our universities, the disaster of our lack moral values and standards, and the importance of our constitution, then I will consider the Obama presidency a success.

If it awakens us.

Danger Ahead. Propaganda, Van Jones, Gov't Option, Blatant Propaganda NEA

Obama. You can't believe anything he says.

The speeches never had any propaganda intent? The lessons plan prove they did. Even the watered down version is meant to make him sound wise and a great leader who really cares. It isn't what he said, it is why he said it. Other presidents have made a speech too? Considering how he thinks himself so wonderful and how much he wants adoration, I don't think it is the same. Bush aggravated most of America because he never seemed to care what people thought of him. His aim was to do what he thought was right. Obama's aim is to build a new nation and we all know from experience he will do and say anything to accomplish it.

Again, we have the double talk over health care - the government option. So he gives that up. But then he will get his co-ops financed and controlled by the government. What is the difference? A name. A rose by any other name is still a rose. This is poison only Obama is dressing it as a cocktail.

The white house kept telling Glenn Beck not to call Van Jones a czar - he was an advisor. Oh, sorry. He looked and acted so much like a czar - our mistake. Now that Van Jones is out, we have a top union blackmailer. That sounds like a czar to me.

He says once the house and senate bill passes, "then we can work on the government option." And he says, "Hurry up." Before the public catches on again?

Isn't he sly though?

Then we have the National Endowment of the Arts, the one who gets money from the government for porn and blasphemy, and just plain propaganda, until now the most egregious example the Public Broadcasting Company.

Recently the white house set up a meeting with the NEA, which said it arranged for its pro-obama people to call the government (which seems to be up for doubt). The government offered the NEA donations for help by the liberal members in promoting Obama's plans. We have seen several of these already. Take the film where umpteen Hollywood sheep push Obama's propaganda. It is the kind of thing that would make great garbage in the speech Obama really wanted to give to the schools.

Actually, money for propaganda is illegal, but with the democrats in control, it will never get prosecuted.

We need a bill to do away with the NEA endowments. And do away with funding for Obama's thugs, like ACORN, SEIU, CIO, AFL and his new volunteers that will match the army.

If we don't stop him quickly, we will lose the constitution.

FOR HEAVENS SAKE - WAKE UP

People already have short memories. We have been talking all about Obama and his Czars, his white house crowds of Marxists.

Now the newsmen are all wondering how Obama could have made such a mistake as to not vet Van Jones. Are they stupid? Don't the listen? Are they just gullible? They are all so willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt when every single thing he has done shows there is no doubt. I thought we were making progress waking up, but even the FOX broadcasters are repeating this wonderment! I really want to throw something at my television every time they excuse the reprehensible liar in the white house.

I am really disappointed. Wake up.  Wake up.

Van Jones is and has been one of a group of Marxists that included, include Obama. They are all huddle in Chicago - around the ACORN, SEIU and other Unions. He didn't need to be vetted - Obama knows him well. Obama hired every one of his crowd with full knowledge.

As Obama said in his student days, "I chose my friends with care." He hasn't changed. He loves who he is.

And speaking of lying. Obama may say he will give up the government option, but don't believe him. He will take it apart and make the items separate issues and try to manipulate the dems and reps too. The only way to protect the country is not to let him pass any bill.

When the country is on its feet and we get a better congress, we can take on the troubleing issues, not take over the system.

He needs to stop lying about the number of people who need insurance, but don't count on it. Do not trust him.
No bill.

HOW TO GET RID OF PARTY FORCED MARCHES

Every once in a while someone will say, "We ought to put the unspent stimulus money back into the treasury. Bring the debt down a little."  Somehow it doesn't happen.

There is a suspicious(?) eerie(?) silence on the subject. Has any of the money been spent since the big splash? Who controls the balance? What does it take to get money from the fund? Who is in charge of it? Who has the records of the transactions?

I was thinking about the blue dogs and the coming nuclear vote on the health care bill. Each vote will be precious and a great deal of pressure will be put on the senators to toe the party line. They know their political career is at stake. The left sneers at the protesters, calling them names, but as they do, they know the non-future of the bill lays with these independents, angry democrats, and conservatives. The count is on and the senators are looking desperately over their shoulders. Afraid of the protests, afraid of their own party.

How about a good honest vote?

The chances of that happening grow slimmer every day. Wonder how much of that unspent stimulus will end up stimulating a forced march on health care voting day? Whom could we ask for a record?

I have never really been able to figure out the difference between straight out bribery and "we'll vote for your program if you go along on this." It's "the offer you can't refuse". This habit isn't confined to the democrats, Nixon and Johnson both would end up in a dead heat if such offers could be counted.

I like to watch the English parliament squabbles, it's always more fun when it's not your own pocket being picked. But the one thing they have we don't is a smaller brood of constituents. I would think it would be easier to resist pressure when your associations are more immediate. It would be easier to keep tabs on what your representative is doing, always remembering that a rose is a rose is a rose.

We have such large zones and so many people, the representative has his own country. Each is too often anxious to be king instead of servant. Like Henry VIII throwing coins to make his people cheer his wedding with Anne Boleyn, these kings bestow their coins while the servants look after the people's welfare. Too bad that no one wants to be a servant.

I think one way to solve our money problems is to make a law that there can be nothing in a bill that does not pertain to that bill. N O T H I N G.

Then, two, three, four (?) times a year, they could have the funding bills for state projects. A list of projects in states that need federal help.

An occasional "pork" project can be necessary, i.e. a bridge really does need to be fixed. But if an airport is needed, let the city, county or airlines build it.  We shouldn't build one for three people in Alaska, even if the airport is a good idea. Local builders can build a building, graders can make a landing field - probably for 10% of the cost.

So, they make a list of pork  have an item vote - aye or nay for each. Let the people see the list to keep them honest.

We could make a law too that congressmen could not own land within 1,000 miles of government projects.
Congressmen can make speeches to earn their money.

These funding laws could get rid of the "offer you can't refuse". There would be no trading of votes for projects. The gravy could be mopped up first.

The party big wigs, or the president will still be able to use the threat of no party support, but we aren't in Eden yet.

Investigations and Investigations and Oranges

I watch another charade from the Attorney General's office and watch too, the white house maneuver to prod him to get going while Obama moon walks trying to deny any participation in the scam. Why?

Been there. Done that. Again and again and again.

When I was a child, an orange in the Christmas stocking was a great treat. Mom and pop grocery stores didn't carry the great spread of fruit  that commerce supplies us these days.

I am reminded of those oranges as the Democrats dig for some attraction to take the children's attention from the now burning Christmas tree of Health Care. The  die-hards have been wishing for a chance to get those  oranges for a long time. They are dying to skin Cheney and Rove. Not only that, they would gain a big handful of mint candies to lick, the CIA agents who surely, according to them, must have done some rolling about in the dirt.

A couple of months ago, Obama gave the CIA agents a pep talk, thanking them for their patriotism and bravery and saying that none would be in danger.  Since then, he has been trying to make us believe that he does not want this investigation. He wants to "look forward."

Obama does want this. Mr. Holder would have no reason to come up with the scam on his own. He works for Obama. He could not go against Obama without approval. He would not. He's a lap dog.

Is it worth it just to skin Cheney and Rove?

Obama has shown us now what he really wants by taking "interrogations" and investigation from the CIA and moving it to the FBI. He is arranging for it to be controlled by some White House director (Obama doesn't like czar now. He's got so many, it's embarrassing him). Supposedly there will be some link between all these agencies to keep them informed, in touch and working together.

Excuse me if I say "HA. HA." We were down that path before and all we got for it was little true information or no information at all. If it hadn't been for the Israeli's, England and possibly other NATO countries we'd still believe Stalin ran Russia.

By destroying the CIA'S reputation and power, by moving the center to the White House, Obama gains control.

In the August 27 blog by Eileen Sullivan and Annabelle Garay, "Napolitano: Politics didn't push stimulus projects", they talk of whether Janet Napolitano was influenced by politics to award money in the Border Security Program. It seems that $15 million went to Montana (via Baucus) for a crossing that had perhaps three people a day, and another for the Governor of Arizona  who was actually 34th in line for need, but was pushed ahead.

Then there is the disgraceful repeated dissing of our country, trying to convince the world that we are indeed the most wicked of countries. After all, we subjected prisoners to second hand smoke, didn't we? As an aside, has it not occurred to anyone that there is no country in this world (perhaps in an alternate world) who has not tortured. So, if it is an attempt to make us monsters, well, join the club.

There has been a definite down-tick on the war on terrorists. I refuse not to call it what it is. Why? Al Qiaida. Today in the news, they boasted that they could kill Obama any time or any place they wanted.

I suppose Obama could believe his personal magnetism could save him. Or perhaps the Muslims would rise up to protect their new friend? It does make these security moves almost unfathomable.

With this in mind, why? What is Obama doing? It almost looks like he is out to destroy the security of our country, doesn't it?

There is one other answer.

As of now, congress has arranged 500 billion dollars through Ameicore and its hundred buddy groups under the ACORN/SEIU umbrella. Obama has said of this army (Civilian National Security Force)
that it should be as well-armed and well funded as the regular army.

Why?

Do you know what Hitler did to get his SA (Sturm Abelung - the first personal army that was destroyed later by the S.S.) on the move? They accused a Jew of burning down the Reichstag. From there, they went on to the Krystallnacht, Crystal Night - the first large scale attack on the Jews. His introduction into the final solution.

The other day, Jeffrey Imelt's NBC showed a picture of a man with a machine type gun. The man had no head or arms showing. NBC said the man was white and was probably wanting to kill the president. As they knew and the entire picture showed, it was a very large, very dark, black man.

Then there was a storm raised by the Democrats accusing two white men of trashing the Democratic headquarters. As usual, it turned out to be two anarchists the Dems had paid to do the trashing.

Why? Obama wants to be rid of the Republican criicism and accusing them would be another step in his parade. Does he intend to control a country that he has led to grow amuck? There won't be a viable FBI - they will be at the white house.

One more tie. The Health Bill has a little known item that says all the material from the IRS, your health information, your bank information will be joined in an account with the social security. Which means that your personal information will be no longer secret.

ALARMED

If I were an alarmist, I would certainly be alarmed.

What is the Obama administration up to? If Bush had even signed, let alone directed to be written, any one of these laws below, the country would be howling like the proverbial stuck pig.

The destruction of the CIA moving the activities to the White House.

Americore, one of the ACORN, SEIU clique has been given half a billion dollars to form a civilian army "which would be just as strong and well funded" (Obama's words) as the U.S. Army. Once Arnie Palmer had an army, but I don't think that is what Obama has in mind. Whom is Obama's Army going to fight? Protesters, maybe?
LOL's - Little old ladies?

Jay Rockefeller is working on a bill that would give Obama power to shut down the civilian internet in a cyber emergency. The trouble is, the methods get vaguer and vaguer. If a company is considered "vital", Obama could "hire" your cybernet officer for you. He wouldn't have to pay him, he is the overseer on your account.

Wasn't it just recently that Iran shut down individual internet usage?

There is also a new law that the government can seize your lap-top or your internet playthings at the border without an argument, and keep them several months to investigate them.

The last sound very wise for a security-cautious nation. But what are the controls? Is a warrant ever needed?
I have more than once written the white house to tell them what I think of them. I wasn't surprised to receive the mass mailings. I am sure they have me on their "go jump in the lake" list, if nothing else. How much risk is an LOL?

Lucky for me - I hate mobile phones and keep one only to call a mechanic if my car gets stubborn. I had a hundred introductory hours for two years, I think. I don't believe anyone can sing anymore - they all sound like sick cows, so I don't need a blackberry or I-pod or whatever it takes. If I should go to England, I won't be writing on a computer, my nose would be stuck in the history bogs. So that's out. I suppose if you go to Cuba or Venezuela you are safe enough.

Bush had to get a warrant to inspect overseas e-mails. Oh, my heavens we were all under attack. Hmmm.

The NEA - that lovely bunch who produce blasphemous crap for the galleries - is enlisting artists to turn their hand to pro-Obama propaganda.

What was that complaint about civil rights?

Any single one of these laws would worry me. All of them?

Why do we need a civilian army? One as strong as the military? Who are they going to fight? Mayvbe seniors who decide they aren't quite ready to die. Or if they do, it will be for the country, not by the country.

My face users? Twitterers? Little old ladies that tell the president she doesn't like what he is doing?

Worth staying up at night over, isn't it?
